D&D Weights 5e — Terms & Privacy
Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the D&D Weights 5e mobile application (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. License
The developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on any compatible device that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with the rules of the platform (Apple App Store or Google Play) from which you obtained the App.
3. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
The App offers optional subscriptions that unlock additional features. The following terms apply to all subscriptions:
- Billing. All purchases and subscriptions are processed by the platform store (Apple App Store on iOS, Google Play on Android). The developer never handles or stores your payment information.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancellation. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time through your platform account: on iOS via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, on Android via the Google Play Store → Subscriptions menu. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
- Restoring purchases. If you re-install the App or switch devices, use the “Restore Purchases” option inside the App to re-link your active subscription. On iOS this contacts Apple to re-verify entitlements; on Android, Google Play restores active subscriptions automatically.
- Refunds. Refund requests are handled by the platform store (Apple / Google Play), not by the developer.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except to the extent allowed by applicable law; (b) use the App for any unlawful purpose; or (c) interfere with the App's operation or the systems of any third-party services it relies on.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the App.
7. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services (listed in the Privacy Policy below) that have their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of those services through the App is also governed by their terms.
8. Changes to These Terms
The developer may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Termination
The developer may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes what information the D&D Weights 5e App collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with. The App is a free mobile application that helps Dungeons & Dragons 5e players track encumbrance and related character data.
1. Information You Provide
- Account information (optional). If you choose to sign in, the App uses Firebase Authentication to manage your account. The information you supply during sign-in (such as an email address) is stored by Google’s Firebase service.
- Feedback. If you submit feedback through the App, your message along with your user ID (if signed in), device model, OS version, and app version are stored in Google Firestore so the developer can read and act on them.
- Character data. Items, money, weights, and similar gameplay data you enter are stored locally on your device only. They are not transmitted to the developer or to any third party.
2. Information Collected Automatically
- Analytics events. The App uses Firebase Analytics and Amplitude to record anonymous usage events (screens viewed, actions taken) so the developer can understand which features are used and where bugs occur.
- Crash and performance data. The App uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports, including device model, OS version, and a stack trace, helping the developer fix issues.
- Advertising identifiers. The App displays ads using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android) and use it to serve and measure ads. On iOS, you can disable tracking via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, you can reset or limit ad tracking in Settings → Google → Ads.
- Subscription entitlements. When you purchase or restore a subscription, the platform store (Apple or Google) reports which products you own to the App, so it knows whether to unlock premium features. The App does not receive your payment information.
3. Location
The App does not collect precise location (no GPS coordinates). It may infer an approximate region from your IP address as a side-effect of running network requests (Firebase, AdMob, etc.); this is standard behavior for any internet-connected app and is not used for personalization or shared back to the developer.
4. Third-Party Services
The App relies on these third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle the data described above:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Firestore)
- Google AdMob (advertising)
- Amplitude (product analytics)
- Apple App Store (billing on iOS)
- Google Play (billing on Android)
5. How Information Is Used
- To provide and improve the App and its features.
- To diagnose bugs and crashes.
- To deliver and measure advertising (free tier only).
- To verify and restore your subscription entitlements.
- To respond to feedback you send through the App.
6. Data Retention
Account information (if you sign in) is retained for as long as your account exists. Analytics and crash data are retained according to each provider’s default retention (typically up to 14–26 months) and may be aggregated thereafter. Locally-stored character data lives on your device until you delete the App.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (e.g., the EU/EEA under GDPR, California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data the developer holds about you. To exercise any of these rights, email tobdev237@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. To delete locally-stored data, uninstall the App.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact tobdev237@gmail.com and the information will be deleted.
9. Security
The App relies on the security measures of the platform stores (Apple App Store, Google Play) and the third-party services listed above. No system is perfectly secure; please use strong, unique passwords for any account you create.
10. International Transfers
The third-party services listed above are operated by companies based in the United States and other countries. By using the App you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries, which may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your country.
11. Changes to This Policy
The developer may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date at the top of this page.
